If i built a car, itd be totally new! Here are a few of the things that id do. . . . Jack has designed the ultimate fantasy car. inspired by zeppelins and trains, Cadillacs and old planes, with brilliant colors and lots of shiny chrome, this far-out vision is ready to cruise! theres a fireplace, a pool, and even a snack bar! After a tour of the ritzy interior, robert the robot starts up the motor . . . and Jack and his dad set off on the wildest test drive ever!

Once a month I visit a local elementary school to read to first- and second-grade classes. Before each visit I buy new books I think the kids will enjoy. A few months ago I picked up "If I Built a Car" to read to the classes. The kids loved the story and were completely entertained by the illustrations. Ever since my first reading of this book, they've asked me to bring it back for each visit. It's definitely a hit with the kids, and I thoroughly enjoyed it myself!
