Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Luckily for Sophie, the BFG is nothing like his neighbors, whose favorite pastime is guzzling little children.

Synopsis:

The Big Friendly Giant is one of Dahl's most lovable characters. Whether galloping off with Sophie nestled next to his ear; speaking his delightful, jumbled, squib-fangled patois; or whizzpopping for the Queen, he leaves an indelible impression of bigheartedness.

Synopsis:

Captured by a giant!

The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants—rather than the BFG—she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

Synopsis:

Celebrating 30 years of a beloved Roald Dahl classic!

For thirty years, readers have been enchanted by this story of young Sophie and the benevolent Big Friendly Giant--inspired by Roald Dahl's own granddaughter. Come celebrate and join them as they take on the Bonecruncher, the Bloodbottler, and other monsters to help make the world a better place for children everywhere!

This is one of my favorite books from my childhood. I highly recommend it for elementary school aged children, or if you want to enjoy a great story for a day:)

I have been looking for a copy for my Nephew, and I'm very glad to have found it right here. THANKS
