The book Peak tells of a boy with a drive for climbing. Peak is a boy living in New York City with his divorced mother. When he is caught climbing a skyscraper he is sent to live with his father of the other side of the world. There his father plans to have him scale the highest mountain in the world. A variety of ideas keep you thinking throughout the book. Just because this book is climbing based you don't have know anything about climbing. There are family struggles, tough decisions, and other things that keep you entertained throughout. The way Roland Smith adds a little bit of every genre and idea into this story makes it even better. This book is a must read for anyone who enjoys a book full of ideas.
