This book was published in 1943 but originally written in French by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. It was created as a children's book but has a much deeper meaning ~ one that adults can learn from as well. It deals with the meaning of love, or what it means to become tamed, of sacrifice, of hopes and dreams and of all the pitfalls along the way. It's described in colorful detail using animals and people to help a young audience understand what's happening to the Little Prince on his voyage to Earth and his return home. I am still amazed by how many people have not read this book. Do yourself and your friends (and children) a favor and buy this book. Give it as a gift. Read it again and again because each time you read it, you will begin to unravel the profound message of this book ~ one that is truly timeless. A classic.
