My new-to-reading son loves this, and so do I.
The fairy tales have all been changed somewhat and come out better for it. There is forgiveness, cooperation and understanding at the end of the stories. The changes don't seem sappy or strained.
We love this book and all of the "You Read to Me, I'll Read to You" books.
