About the Author

Beverly Gherman is the author of several children’s biographies, and of all her subjects, Ansel Adams is the closest to her home and heart. She grew up in Fresno, California, only a few hours drive from Yosemite, where she spent summers camping beneath the magnificent granite peaks and winters trying to master the snow on skis. She now lives in San Francisco.
