The Author's second book, a brilliant masterpiece spanning countries and generations. Davenport's first novel, the characters feel real and fresh. Written from the heart Davenport displays superb prose and takes us on a journey through the history of Hawaii and WWII. Love is the central theme of this spellbinding novel, and its affect as both a negative force and a powerful influence are fascinating. I'm eagerly awaiting to see what this Author next comes out with.
