My First Grade Dual Language class loved "Good Morning Gorillas". The class created Thinking Maps using a Double Bubble Map to compare Jack's fear of gorillas and Annie's love for them. They also created a Tree Map about the Story Elements to gather all of their thinking before writing their Reader's Response. My First Graders are creating their own book in Spanish since this title isn't available in Spanish at this time. They are looking forward to reading "Una tarde en el Amazonas", "Tigers at Twilight" and "Rain Forest".
Such a great chapter books for high level first grade readers to sink their teeth into and start off reading. Awesome book for READ ALOUD in English and Spanish for any level or any age group. (I keep Magic Tree House books at home on my nightstand for nightly reading just for fun!!!!!)
