. Born in New Orleans and raised in Atlanta, LINDA FRENCH lives in a college town in Washington state. She is trained in American history and has worked as a community college instructor, grants administrator, and creative writing teacher. A former Georgia state backstroke recordholder, Linda's favorite recent purchase is a black rubber wetsuit for swimming in Puget Sound.
