This is the best field guide I have ever used! Easy to use, great illustrations, thorough descriptions and explanations, maps, and a an extremely wide variety of birds in the western states. It is actually really fun to use! I think it is a perfect tool for everyone from a hard-core birder, to day hikers, to someone just curious about who is visiting their backyard. I recommend this book over and over.
