I did not like this book. It was hard to follow along and was difficult to annualize it. This book was assigned to me for my books groups and it was very hard to create a job out of it. I would not recommend this book to anyone, especially not 7th graders. The content was choppy and in some parts it was irrelevant to the rest of the paragraph. It did not remind me of the historical story King Arthur. I thought this book lacked intelligence, accurate facts, sentence fluency and organization. This book was so hard to relate to, plus it bore me to tears. In some chapters I had to skip pages and skim important words because it was so stultify. If you are a teacher or in a book club, do not read this book. It does not help you with facts about the middle ages nor does it entertain you like any good/interesting book should.

I read this story in my 7th grade class for book groups, and i didn't really like it, (AT ALL!) the story is very long, and the author used run on sentences that lasted for pages. After reading the back of the book i was looking forward to reading it, but by almost the last chapter there was still no mention of a sword or a stone, and the ending was practically written on the back of the book! I don't recommend this book, but if you want to know the story just watch the disney movie, the plot is almost the same, but it doesn't take a month to finish. so overall, don't bother reading the sword in the stone.

The book The Sword in the Stone by T.H. White was okay. To tell you the truth, it wasn't the best book I've ever read. In my block class at school, I was assigned to read this book for a book group book. If I hadn't been assigned to read it, I probably wouldn't of read it. First of all, it was way too wordy. The author used lots of words, and complex ones too. This made the sentences have little sentence fluency, and made it hard to read. Secondly, the story just droned on and on, seeming to have no climax. This is one of the things I hated the most about this book; the climax was in the last eight pages of the book. Usually, the climax in the book is about fifty pages away from the ending, so it can have some falling action. With this book, it ended, and had no falling action which really annoyed me. Thirdly, I hated it how the author kept referring to present day (or 1939). He would be talking about something that wart was doing, and then he'd jump to saying something about 1939. The only thing I kind of liked about this book was how T.H. White made the characters act like. The person I liked the most was King Pellinore. So, I wouldn't recommend this book to people who are looking for a easy read, but if you're an advanced reader, and you're ready for the challenge, go for it.
