The One-Page Project Manager shows you how to boil down any project into a simple, one-page document that can be used to communicate all essential details to upper management, other departments, suppliers, and audiences. This practical guide will save time and effort, helping you identify the vital parts of a project and communicate those parts and duties to other team members.
The initial idea for this book came from the authors need to communicate a project’ s status and the performance of those in charge of various aspects of a project to his company’ s senior managers. Rather than copying the 200 page tracking document he and his team used for the sr. team, he developed a one page document that detailed who was working on the project and their role, what stage the critical tasks were in, due dates, costs, and outstanding issues. Over time this tool was revised and perfected. It is now a tool used for all projects within OC Tanner and is shared with corporate clients when they implement Tanner tools. This book will teach Project Managers: How to concisely identify the 'Five Essentials' part of a Project How to construct this one page document (12 steps) How to use the document as a communication tool Variation for the tool to manage other processes in an organization.. including ISO, SAP
