Little did I know when I read this book a few years ago, that I would be hooked on the whole series. I am so glad I started with the first book in the series so that I could enjoy the progression of characters and how new ones weave into the plots--and some old ones recur from time to time. And thanks to Powell's I could pick up several of the books in the series until I caught up to the contemporary publication schedule.
