I got started with Raymond Feist with one of his later books, but after reading one, I wanted to go back to the beginning and read the rest. Magician: Apprentice is his first in the series about his fantasy world of Midkemia. His characters are heros and heroines that the reader can care about and follow through the years, as they age and pass the torch to their children. I've passed my books along to a couple others and won converts for Raymond Feist. If you love fantasy, you'll like this world.

I was appehensive picking the book up at first. I'll admit, I may sometimes judge a book by it's cover. After having read through all of my other books, I finally came to rest at Magician Apprentice. I was very happily surprised. The first few pages had me hooked! I read through the book in about two days. (I have a 15 month old son, so that is an achievment for me. ) I thoroughly enjoyed every character and the scope of the novel. I loved it! ...Ordering book two of the Riftwater Saga---Now. =)
