About the AuthorJim Benton is a writer and cartoonist whose unique brand of humor has been seen on toys, television, T-shirts, greeting cards, and even underwear. Franny K. Stein is the first character he's created especially for young children. He has since developed the Dear Dumb Diary series for Scholastic and has published a number of books with the Happy Bunny characters, also for Scholastic. A husband and father, he lives in Bloomfield, Michigan, where he works in a studio that truly has creepy stuff in it.
