Publisher Comments:

Shipwrecked, Baldwin and Simon are washed ashore on neighboring islands. Both are independently charged with investigating the murder of a tax gatherer, embroiling them in the bitter rivalry between two island communities. Can they uncover the truth in time to prevent a massacre?

Synopsis:

1323. On their return from Spain, Baldwin and Simon's ship is beset by pirates and storms, and Simon can only watch in horror as Baldwin is swept overboard. Washed ashore on the island of Ennor, Simon is distraught to think his closest friend is dead, but he must put aside his grief when master of the castle, Ranulph de Blancminster, demands he investigate the murder of a hated tax collector. Ranulph has waged an ongoing battle against the inhabitants of the island of St. Nicholas; convinced that one of them is the culprit, he demands retribution. Meanwhile, Baldwin has been saved. Washed up on St. Nicholas, he is nursed back to health by the beautiful Tedia. Here on the island, he too investigates the murder. As their parallel investigations bring them closer to the truth, Simon and Baldwin are caught up in the bitter rivalry between the islands. They have seen enough bloodshed to last a lifetime, but can they uncover the truth in time to prevent still more? The Outlaws of Ennor is the sixteenth tale in Michael Jacks' superbly plotted medieval mystery series.

Synopsis:

The brooding Scilly Isles provide the backdrop to the sixteenth mystery featuring the ever-popular Baldwin Furnshill and Bailiff Simon Puttock. An increasingly popular series with over 350,000 copies in print.
