Publisher Comments:

When Hannah Swensen hears that the Cinnamon Roll Six jazz band will be playing at a festival in Lake Eden, Minnesota, she bakes up a supply of their namesake confections to welcome them. But tragedy strikes when their tour bus overturns on its way into town. And keyboard player Buddy Neiman's minor injuries turn deadly serious when someone plunges surgical scissors into his chest... Turns out, Buddy Neiman isn't the victim's real name. In fact, no one is really sure who he is. Hannah's investigation digs up a few local suspects. There is Doctor Bev, who seems to know more about "Buddy" than she's willing to admit. And Devon, an aspiring keyboard player who may have had a fatal case of jealousy. Hannah isn't sure how she'll unravel the mystery, but one thing's for sure: there's nothing sweeter than bringing a killer to justice...

Review:

"At the start of bestseller Fluke's savory 15th Hannah Swensen mystery set in Lake Eden, Minn. (after 2011's Devil's Food Cake Murder), Hannah and her sister, Michelle, are en route to deliver cinnamon rolls to the Lake Eden Inn. When they come to a multicar pileup on a slick roadway, the sisters hurry to check on the passengers of an overturned bus in a ditch. What they find is a dead driver and minor injuries among members of the Cinnamon Roll Six, a jazz band booked to perform at the inn. At the local hospital, the keyboard player's relatively minor injury lands him in an ER exam room, where a short time later he's found stabbed to death. Hannah flips open her murder book and launches into action, with scarcely a police presence. Recipes and passages devoted to cooking and eating overshadow the sleuthing. The basic plot wraps to a satisfying conclusion, but the overall feel is overdone foodie and underdone characters. Author tour." Publishers Weekly Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved.

Synopsis:

When Lee hires a free-spirited employee with a tie-dyed, troubled past, she discovers that even the counterculture can conceal a killer....

As much as the chocolate concoctions at TenHuis Chocolade can tantalize peoples tongues, Lees newest hire is more likely to make them wag. Forsythia “Sissy” Smith is the granddaughter of Warner Piers resident hippie, but the fact that Sissy is a third-generation flower child is the least of Lees concerns. The previous winter, Sissys husband, Buzz, was found dead, and even though her alibi was airtight, the gossips are still pointing their fingers at her.

Then the chief gossip is found dead, with Sissy on the scene. Was she lured there? Or is she the killer? Lee has a sneaking suspicion that someone is out to keep a dark secret from coming to light. And they would have no problem killing a certain clever chocolatier who might uncover the truth....

With Tasty Chocolate Trivia!

Synopsis:

When it turns out a member of Warner Piers library board has been living on borrowed time, Lee is determined to discover who wrote the victims final chapter…

Running TenHuis Chocolade keeps Lee McKinney Woodyard busy enough, but now shes been offered two different positions in the town of Warner Pier—one on the tourism committee and another on the library board. To decide between the two, she goes to Warner Piers historic library to check out the boards monthly meeting.

As usual, rumors are flying through the small town—this time, theyre about the rugged new library director, Henry “Butch” Cassidy, and the changes he allegedly plans to make. Butch is indeed attractive—but Lee doesnt get a chance to find out about his proposed changes. A few minutes into the meeting, the discussion is interrupted by the terrified screams of the library clerk.

She has discovered the lifeless body of Abigail VanRoostock, a prim and proper retiring member of the board, crumpled in a heap at the bottom of the basement stairs. Suddenly, everyone in attendance, including Lee, is suspected in her murder. And as Lee finds out, theyve all got something to hide…
