Vanessa is a regular school girl along with her best friend Catty. So they have powers that doesn't mean anything. Or at least Vanessa didn't think it did. Not until Jimena and Serena showed up with Maggie. Now she has no choice but can she do this? Can she fight an evil that want to destroy hope? Only a goddess would know but this goddess doesn't. How can she fight the Atrox if she can't even tell her mom she has a power?

One of the best books I have ever read. Lynne Ewing is an amazing writer.
