Part of the Bass Builders series. This book ,by Keith Rosier, is an excellent overview of contrasting blues bass styles. It features spotlights on key bass players who made their mark with their own style of playing and laid down a serious groove, in support some of the all-time great blues artists.
Among the featured bass players are Larry Taylor, Willie Dixon, Donald "Duck" Dunn, and Tommy Shannon.
The bass tablature and accompanying CD provide excellent and accurate examples of the artists styles. The book also includes tips on setting up your bass, getting a good tone and recording gear.
