We read our little girl, now 5 months old, a lot of books. Out of them all, this is one of the few that never fails to capture her attention and make her smile (and, often, laugh!). It's been a hit for more than 2 months already.

Early on, the bold colorful words on simple backgrounds captured her attention. Then, she began to focus on the illustrations and take interest in the beautiful baby that appears in the mirror on the last page of the book. She’s always loved the repetitive sounds, like all the fun words that rhyme with “zoo.”

A word of caution, though, if you’re not into hamming it up when reading, this probably isn’t the right book for you and your kid. (A friend once tried to read this to our daughter as if it were a story. Fell flat.)

This is an excellent book. My son loves all of the bright colors and he likes the mirror in the back of the book so he can look at his self.
