This is a lovely book. We bought it for our nephew's birthday. The story is told well for a child's perspective, and the fact that it's narrated by a dog makes it appealing, too. The decorative detail in the pictures is wonderful--in addition to the main picture, the images are framed with highly decorated images that connect to the larger story and open up things to talk about with our nephew.
