I use this book regularly in my classroom. I use it when first meeting a child in the fall to help place kids on a developmental spectrum. When I am noticing behavioral or academic changes, I will often refer to Yardsticks. I also order the pamplets that go along with this book and offer them as resources to parents at back to school night and parent/teacher conferences.
It is just one part of the system that makes up my classroom. It is a useful and unique tool.
