J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5, Rising Stars) has joined the growing ranks of screenwriters that have moved to the less constraining field of comics. With Midnight Nation, JMS has crafted a compelling tale of loss and redemption. Join David Grey and his guardian angel as they travel a hidden America in search of his lost soul. Synopses & ReviewsPublisher Comments:J. Michael Straczynski's hit series, Midnight Nation, follows the adventures of David and Lauren, two "walkers" who are on a quest to retrieve David's soul from the terrifying "men"...before he becomes one of them!
David and Lauren's travels are frequently unnerving as they inhabit a world between the living and the dead, a netherworld that is neither good nor evil, but all the shades in between... Review:"Highly recommended....9 [out of] 10....[A]rguably Straczynski's best contribution to comics to date....[A] good script is nothing without a good artist, and Frank proves himself one of the best." Randy Lander, TheFourthRail.com Review:"[A] rare accomplishment....Midnight Nation will be remembered as one of the most absorbing and emotionally moving sagas in modern comics history." Arnold T. Blumburg, senior editor, Cinescape.com Review:"With its engaging script and thoroughly effective artwork, Midnight Nation draws you in and leaves you wanting more....Straczynski has written a clever and fast-paced script that keeps you guessing....[Gary Frank's art] works perfectly with the demands of this script....[A] definite must-buy."
