Synopses & Reviews
Celebrating America's favorite cityscapes, this series combines historic interest and contemporary beauty. Then and Now features fascinating archival photographs contrasted with specially commissioned, full-color images of the same scene today. A visual lesson in the historic changes of our greatest urban landscapes.
Since it first grew up along the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago blossomed into a vibrant, progressive city with a landscape unlike any other. See how much the Midwests cultural center has changed — and how much its stayed the same — in Chicago Then & Now.
Every important building, avenue, neighborhood, and point of interest is documented in this edition, including Chicago's landmarks from Navy Pier to the Stockyards and from the Southside all the way up the Magnificent Mile.
