From Nick's first encounter with Monroe to learning just what kind of woman Adalind Schade is to discovering that Captain Renard is actually part Royal to revealing all to his girlfriend Juliette, Nick would have been lost without being able to discover what kind of creature he was dealing with if it were not for Aunt Marie's book. Collected from centuries of observations by Nick's Grimm ancestors, the book records encounters with Volcanalis, Ziegevolk, Schakal and more.
Written in mostly German, there are entries recorded in Spanish and Japanese; each entry has been translated into English for the general reader. Full color images of several of the Wesen are included alongside the pen and ink drawings of those Grimm who first observed the ferocious beasts dating as far back as the 1600s.
