Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

America's remarkable 230-year experiment in republican democracy is in grave danger. Its inspired vision and values have been corrupted, and the government is increasingly alienating both its own citizens and its global neighbors. Thom Hartmann — our contemporary Thomas Paine — clearly articulates the magnitude of the threat, while unveiling how we got here and offering specific, practical steps for restoring our beloved democracy.

Synopsis:

America faces its greatest threat since the Civil War. The worst fears of the Founders are being realized, as powerful corporate interests have taken over our culture and representative government. We the People now face a fundamental choice: take back our country ... or do nothing, and become victims of tyranny and empire.

The way the book is laid out, as a comic book, gets the reader involved more than just your average text only books. The topics covered, by Mr. Hartmann, are generally complex in nature but are conveyed in ways that are easily understood. With the format and the intriguing topics, one feels compelled to keep reading. Everyone who cares about the future of this great nation must get a copy of this book in their hands!!!!
