I came to know this book, when i visited Holland from a trip to Medjugorje. I met my old math teacher when I was in High school Father W.Nijs S.J. He showed me his translation of Lui et Moi into the Dutch language and said if I was interested, he would make fotocopies of the parts that he had translated. Next morning I came to his place in 's Gravenhage to collect them. some 100 over pages. I was very impressed with the contents. I have had a very different view of the loving Master that is God and of Christ. His translations of Lui et moi showed me the incredible great Love of Jezus for mankind and his down to earth attitude towards Gabrielle Bossis. This is amazing.
I thought other people in my country should also enjoy their conversations.
So I started to translate the translations by W.Nijs SJ. to my language the Indonesian language.
This was in 1992. And i heard about a translation by Evelyn M Brown. These two books have helped me a lot to understand the feelings and emotions of the day.
wITH HE ORIGINAL BOOK Lui et moi before me, the Dutch translation and the translation by Ms Evelyn M Brown I have tried as best I could to finish the Hij en ik book by W.Nijs SJ.
This is to express my sincere thanks to Ms Evelyn M. Brown whose translations of the articles have helped me understood Lui et moi much better.
This Indonesian translation has been spread throughout Indondesia and the book is still very much in demand. Father W.Nijs SJ died in Arnhen in 1994 of old age. I myself will be be 74 tomorrow.
