This is an average entry-level machine shop book. It is a light introduction to a number of topics but does not go into depth in any one topic. This broad brush approach could be preparation for a first course in Machine Shop at a technical institute. If the reader has no knowledge of machine shop this will whet an appetite for more. I am a beginner home shop hobby machinist with little experience who has recently completed the first two semesters of machine shop at a junior college. I found nothing to disagree with in the book just that it says too little about everything.
