When it comes to preserving, Ball really did write the book on it. This is a perfect choice for the beginner who wants a well-rounded introduction to safe preserving. Most of the recipes in Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving make use of the traditional stove-top canning process, with a small section on using pressure cookers. There are a limited amount of pictures, but, hey, I know what a jar of pickles looks like!
