Nobody teaches herbs like Susun Weed. Sharp and stinging in person like one of her favorite plant allies, Nettle, she nevertheless shares information in a way that helps you remember it long after you encounter her. Her books are a far gentler way of learning from her, and Healing Wise is a wonderful starting point. The book covers different traditions of healing, detailed profiles of a handful of common herbs for nourishment and wellness, and simple herbal preparations you can make in your kitchen with easy to find supplies. (Glass jars, vodka, and olive oil mostly, plus the herbs of course.)

Get this book. It's brilliant.
