Don't Talk to Strangers

"Don't Talk to Strangers" is a story told primarily from the viewpoint of a recently unemployed young man who, as the result of a seemingly random conversation with a stranger at the unemployment office in Queens, finds himself increasingly entwined in and ultimately threatened by a complex international arms transaction. The plot is progressive, eventually expanding to include an array of IRA operatives, New York City police detectives, CIA counterintelligence agents, Al Qaeda operatives and sullen white supremacists.

In addition to being a suspenseful, exciting read, the twists and turns of the plot are sufficiently compelling to engage even the most dedicated mystery connoisseur. Don't Talk to Strangers is a book about the joys of running, exotic food, immigrant Irish culture and the redemption of a son's relationship with his father. The novel is set in the colorful immigrant neighborhood of Sunnyside, Queens, and features an array of authentic local characters.
