About the AuthorBruce Degen is the author-illustrator of many popular children's books, including Jamberry, Sailaway Home, and Daddy Is a Doodlebug. He is also the illustrator of the original Magic School Bus books. Mr. Degen has been a painter, printmaker, and teacher, and has even painted scenery for the opera. Over the years, he has created beloved bear, pig and bug characters to express the wide range of human emotions in his stories.
