About the AuthorTim Read joined Sun in 1990 as a systems engineer, was responsible for the U.K.’s first Sun Cluster HA 1.0 deployments, and now works as a staff engineer for Oracle’s Solaris Cluster Engineering group. He has written and co-authored a number of Sun BluePrints and white papers, including “Designing Enterprise Solutions with Sun Cluster 3.0,” “Architecting Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions,” and “Sun Cluster 3.2 Software.” He holds a joint honors B.Sc. in physics with astrophysics from Birmingham University.
