Publisher Comments:

All Men Are Cremated Equal: My 77 Blind Dates chronicles the true-life dating spree set off by the broken engagement of a marriage-minded mortician in her mid-30's. (Um, that would be me.) Armed with a 10-point list of dating criteria, skin-tight jeans, and flash cards on Nascar, football, and micro-breweries, she enlists everyone in sight to set her up on blind dates in a passionate quest to meet just one really great guy.

Names are changed to protect the rejected as she humorously dishes dot-com hotties, compulsive bloggers, and tattooed graduates of the Gene Simmons School of Dating. Bridget Jones would be proud of her American cousin.

There's a new professional blind dater on the scene, only this one is a mortician first, and a boy-crazy speed-dater second. This may well be some of the best airplane reading ever. Part relationship primer, part great fun, "All Men Are Cremated Equal: My 77 Blind Dates" depicts wry dating realities with hysterically embarrassing results. Through it all our lovely and bright heroine kept her head up and went on dates with a techno-geek, a soap opera junkie,a politican, and many more colorful cats. Just when it seemed her year of blind dating wasn't going to produce any success, Elizabeth found herself unexpectedly smitten with a fellow mortician, an equally lovelorn guy from Jersey. Snappy and readable – can’t wait for the sequel!

Ah, my sweet Elizabeth. I wanted to hold your hand as you trudged through evenings with such uncivilized males. What an endearing tale you shared, and so colorful. And unfortunately true.

I am a passionate reader of interesting life stories. I love to see how people tick and are put together. If I feel a writer isn't quite humble enough to really write from the heart, the book merely lands on the stack next to my leather wing back. This soft cover never made it there.

I read Elizabeth's memoir in two sittings. The author does a great job building the story, describing the characters and their personalities, and painting their environment and surroundings. Her mentions of lugubriousness were so spot on. I was happy to not be able to relate, but to be a voyeur instead.

The first element that pleased me greatly was how morally our heroine chooses to live her life. She is a conscious individual who is naturally kind and oozes humanity. Elizabeth's personal strength to enforce her needed attributes in a partner is highly commendable. It was a struggle of a search, but she stood fast and proud.

And, whilst some may just give up and give into that slow decline, and others may go completely the other way and start wearing clothes more appropriate for someone auditioning for the Pussy Cat Dolls, she prevailed. Her coolness and casualness sparked my knowing that a sexy woman exists inside.

This book tickled me. Just was plum hilarous, and I enjoyed my external laughter. Not many memoirs can elicit such a response. The writing was so tasty, colourful and full of texture. And Elizabeth inherently knew the trick that many, many women are oblivious of: the art of using minimum effort to create maximum impression.

And enjoyable read all around. Kudos!

The premise of this story was intriguing enough, and after a few pages I was up all night reading, laughing, and thoroughly enjoying this delightful book. The characters were endearing, the spiritual thread well-woven and heartwarming, and the ending...I was so happy for Elizabeth!! Chick lit gets a bad rap for being bubblegum, but this book was filet mignon. In the midst of the fun, there were deep insights into the world of dating and time honored wisdom shared within the pages of this story. A very nice break from edgy for the sake of being edgy. All Men Are Cremated Equal: My 77 Blind Dates is a book I want my daughters and the women I know to read because the real life lessons within teach through the power of story. And the fun factor makes learning a pleasure.
