This book could have been great! I'm all for putting difficult to grasp material in a format that children will understand, but the sing-song-ey, rhyme-y method used in this book simply wasn't good. Additionally, MANY of the ways we can all do our part to reduce our impact on the environment and be more sustainable were left out - I'm sure they were "saved" for future books. The illustrations were beautiful and I very much liked the "glossary" at the end. I also didn't much care for the sponsor "endorsements" at the back of the book. Sure, it makes you aware of some of the "green" companies out there, but at the same time it felt like a commercial to me.
