Synopsis:

This story has over 150 authors It was written cooperatively by the creative students and staff of Mountain View Elementary School, Rockbridge County, Virginia. Each class, kindergarten through fifth grade, added a chapter to the story, building upon the ideas in the chapter before them. Our Principal illustrated the story bringing the characters to life. On April 9, 2009, Mountain View students celebrated the release of over 100 baby trout into the waters of South River, less than a half mile from our school. This project was part of Trout in the Classroom sponsored by Trout Unlimited.
