Janet Muirhead HIll, July 20, 2009 (view all comments by Janet Muirhead HIll)
Before I read Presentation Skills 201, I was one of those whom the author describes as "good presenters who are unlikely to become great presenters." Why? because, as he says, "They can't bring themselves to plan their messages, thinking, I'm best when I just go up there and start talking."
This clearly articulated and fascinating book has given me new insight into what I need to do to improve my presentations. There are pointers for every contingency I can imagine. As I know I will continue to refer to it as long as I am making public presentations, Presentation Skills 201 has become my Bible for planning and conducting book talks, workshops, and seminars. From now on my presentations will be planned, practiced, and perfected. Thanks to William (Bill) Steele.
