The Grit restaurant itself is a real vegetarian treat if you live in or are visiting Athens, Georgia. Yummy, filling food! The Grit Cookbook and its recipes live up to that dining experience, and my wife and I find this cookbook to be one we return to often.

The Grit restaraunt is one of a kind. Any meat-lover will be amazed that such delicious food is all vegetarian! I always have a batch of the Grit yeast gravy in my fridge, as it tastes good on absolutely everything.
