Synopsis:

The neighbors have dared to make a fuss about Bertie Wooster's incessant playing of his banjolele, and Jeeves threatens to leave if Bertie continues. So Bertie seeks refuge in Lord Chuffington's cottage. But the peace and quiet are shattered when Pauline Stoker arrives, to whom Bertie was once unnervingly engaged.

About the Author

P. G. Wodehouse (1881-1975) was born in Surrey, educated in London, and spent much of his life in Southampton, Long Island, becoming an American citizen in 1955. In a literary career spanning more than seventy years, he published more than ninety books, twenty film scripts, and collaborated on more than thirty plays and musical comedies.

Jonathan Cecil's considerable TV and film appearances include The Rector's Wife, Just William, Murder Most Horrid, and As You Like It.
