Publisher Comments:

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a summer tale published by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) for the first time in July 1865. Nicholas Williams translated this into Irish under the title Eachtra Eil se i dT r na nIontas (Evertype 2007). Many of the characters and adventures in that book belong to a pack of cards. Lastall den Sc th n agus a bhFuair Eil?'s Ann Roimpi-a winter tale-is Williams' Irish translation of Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, which Carroll first published in December 1871. Its characters and adventures are based on a game of chess. This book contains the famous illustrations of Sir John Tenniel, which first appeared in the original English edition. — Sc al samhraidh at in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland a d'fhoilsigh Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) den ch ad uair i m I il 1865.
