The Trainer

by Jack Torridian

The Trainer Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Synopsis:

Robert Wade has an enviable career as an international software trainer. And he has a wonderful family with a beautiful wife and two little children, soon to be three. Like everyone else, on the eve of Y2K Robert is unaware of the terrorist cells that threaten domestic soil with biological weapons and nuclear arms, at least not until an old friend comes back into his life with an inauspicious proposal. What kind of a friend would offer Robert a proposition that could jeopardize everything he holds dear? And why would he accept? Discover the controlling power of unrequited love and betrayal in a two-part story that's begins as youthful nostalgia about growing up in the 80's and develops into a white knuckle thrill ride with plot twisting suspense that will keep you on edge.

I don't usually go for political thrillers but I could not put this one down. Torridian creates well thought out characters to whom the reader can relate. Anyone who grew up during the 80s will enjoy reliving their high school years and remember the sense of hope we all had. I look forward to Torridian's next effort.
