Dreamers #04: The Younger Gods Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

In the thrilling conclusion to The Dreamers, the Vlagh prepares for one merciless attack that will pit her forces against the might of both the Elder Gods and the Younger Gods. All may be for naught, however, if the allies fail to respond to the fact that one within their ranks is losing her mind.

Very disappointing. I can hardly believe this mediocre tripe came from the same pen as the Belgariad, Mallorean, Belgarath, and Polgara. The dialogue is insipid, the plot thins out as the book progresses, and the wrap up is very weak. The repeated plot sequences are not masterful but irritating. The characters do not grow or develop but become cliche. The ending simply fizzles out, and in that process, the entire series is completely invalidated. Instead of wasting your time with this series--which goes from good to bad to awful--reread the Malloean, which is stellar all the way through.
