What makes this special, beyond the projects and the donated proceeds, are the stories the contributors share: Andrea Martin, star of TV and Broadway, reveals how she learned to knit at 10 years old at the side of her grandmother, who had fled Turkey after witnessing many tragedies. Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark) presents her Kilim Cross designs, and discusses how antique rugs provide inspiration for her stitching.
