Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

A fully illustrated history of the Hanukkah Menorahs created by the pioneer Israeli artists and artisans. It's role as a central object of art and worship in Jewish life, and its importance as a symbol of the triumph of freedom over tyranny. Also traces the role of the Hanukkah Menorah as a symbol of friendship between Israel and the United States from President Harry S. Truman to George H.W. Bush.

Not only a beautiful and unique tabletop art book, but also a resource for collectors and a wonderful historical primer on freedom and the retelling of the Hanukkah story's relevance to today's world. For freedom loving people across the entire religious and political spectrum.
