Once Jacob Gutgeld lived with his family in a beautiful house in Warsaw, Poland. He went to school and played hide-and-seek in the woods with his friends. But everything changed the day the Nazi soldiers invaded in 1939. Suddenly it wasn't safe to be Jewish anymore.

I disliked this book, it was boring because throughout the whole book all they talked about was the same thing, the Roslan's taking the Gutgeld family of boys in and keeping them from safty. I hated the ending because it went back to present time and it wasnt a good ending at all, it ruined the whole book.
