I really love the Anita Blake vampire executioner series. The heroine is a complex evolving character, that is heartwarming yet always on edge. There are plenty of mysterious happenings that keep this heroine on her toes, and danger is just a fact of life. Her inner conflicts are brought to light beautifully. Anita has enough grit to make you laugh. Enough silver ammunition to take out a score of vampires, plus enough heart to make you ache for her conundrum of problems, personal and impersonal. The paranormal and horror movie like happenings with the all around beautifully written characters make for exhilarating reading- that will keep you guessing till the end . TTFN
