About the Author

Pam MacKay is involved in Mojave Desert conservation efforts and was instrumental in founding the Mojave Desert chapter of the California Native Plant Society, where she currently serves as field trip chair.  A professor of biology at Victor Valley College, she lives in Apple Valley, California.
