Publisher Comments:

The 1964 murder of a nationally known cancer researcher sets the stage for this gripping exposé of medical professionals enmeshed in covert government operations over the course of three decades. Following a trail of police records, FBI files, cancer statistics, and medical journals, this revealing book presents evidence of a web of medical secret-keeping that began with the handling of evidence in the JFK assassination and continued apace, sweeping doctors into coverups of cancer outbreaks, contaminated polio vaccine, the arrival of the AIDS virus, and biological weapon research using infected monkeys.

While not particularly well written - presents assumptions as if they were facts - the book brings interesting conjectures forth that connect people and events to a doctor's murder and the JFK assassination. The Garrison assertions of culpability by government, both overt and covert, in squelching evidence is outlined and made clearer; if one takes the author at his word that he (Mr. Haslam) discovered circumstantial evidence proving both a Cuban and Mafia involvement in what amounted to a coup. It's a book that, because of its horror and history, you'll want to read, even if there are writing weaknesses. Literature it isn't, but captivating? It certainly is.
