About the Author
James has over 30 years of experience working with Datacenters, holding positions from IT Manager to Senior Consultant. Over the past few years, he has been working with end-to-end monitoring in order to troubleshoot, diagnosis, and resolve performance related issues with Web Based Applications. He has experience with several different types of monitoring tools, both open source and commercial some of which include: Nagios, BigBrother, Xymon, CA Ehealth, CA Wily, CA DBInsight, and Precise I3 to name a few.
Academically, he holds a Masters degree in Computer Information Systems (MCIS), a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA), an undergraduate degree in Business, and Computer Certification from the United States Air Force. He currently works as a Senior Consultant with a government organization and teaches part-time at St. Edwards University as an Adjunct Professor in the MCIS program.
