Vassilis Vassilikos was born on the island of Thasos in 1933. He is Greece's most acclaimed novelist. . He has published more than ninety books, including novels, short stories, essays, poetry, and plays. His most famous novel Z, has been translated into thirty-two languages. He lives in Athens and Paris.
